Pangobright is a lightweight screen dimmer for desktop. The personalization program was developed by Pangolin Laser Systems Inc. for users working in dark environments like DJs and theater administrators. This helps keep your PC setup in line with the room’s ambiance. The other purpose of Pangobright is to help you avoid straining your eyes. Whether you use the dark theme or not, managing the light that is received by your eyes is important. The dimmer only affects your main and external monitors. Any VGA devices connected to your computer will project in full brightness even with this program running in the background.
Pangobright is a simple tool you can use to prevent bright, garish screens from affecting your surroundings or your vision. Once you download the program, you will automatically find it in your screen’s System Tray. Its the logo with a black background and a letter P on it. This will prompt the pop-up menu to appear. It contains percentages of brightness from 100% to 20%. The percentages are pre assembled on the program. This means you will not be able to create your own brightness setting.
